Things to Do

St. Petersburg is full of fun things to do! Hopefully you've got some downtime to check it out! If you don't have a car available, note the "DT" listed for attractions within walking distance of Downtown St. Petersburg, near the location of the wedding. Directions can be found on each website linked below.

Friday September 20
We're going to have a little get-together on the Friday before the wedding at Three Birds Tavern in St. Petersburg. We are having a private happy hour from 7-9PM and it will be an open bar for our group between those hours. A great opportunity to catch up with old friends and meet new family! Three Birds is also a great restaurant so we recommend getting there early and grabbing dinner before everyone arrives for happy hour!

What to Do
- The Trolley - DT - There's a trolley that runs all around downtown and its only 50 cents! Great way to see the sites and get around. Check with your concierge because there are a couple routes.
Tampa Bay Rays DT - In the mood for some baseball? Is it too hot out to do something outside? Be sure to check out the Rays stadium. Indoor and air-conditioned, it's a cushy way to enjoy a baseball game! Last we checked, there were home games all week so if you're in town early, we highly recommend catching a game at the Trop!
Florida Winery - Ever wanted to try mango wine? Maybe Key Lime wine? What about any other fruit under the sun? Stop in to the Florida Winery for a tour of their wine making and a tasting of their unique wines.
- The Florida Aquarium - One of our favorite spots in the Tampa Bay area. One of the coolest aquariums in the US, a great way to spend an afternoon.
-Yuengling Tour - The famous Pennsylvania brewery also runs out of Tampa.
-Cigar City Brewery - Our own local pride. Great beers, tours, and a tasting room to try the bold, locally made Tampa beers.
- State Theater DT -If you're a music fan this is a great small local rock club on the outskirts of downtown. Make sure to check the calendar, it's surprising who stops by sometimes.
Jannus Live- DT - In the heart of St. Pete, an outdoor music venue located in the courtyard behind some of the best bars in the 'Burg.
- Gulfport Waterfront - Not a lot here but there are some fun small shops and a few really great restaurants (we have a couple listed on our Restaraunts and Watering Holes page)!
Paddle Board Rentals - Interested in getting some exercise and getting some time out on the water? We recommend renting boards from Suncoast Surf Shop. They're even willing to deliver nearby the shop if you're not able to pick them up yourself!
The Pier  - DT - A St. Pete landmark since the late 1800's, The Pier will be closed in May 2013. We don't have much info yet, but hope there will be something interesting for you to see.
- Busch Gardens - A full-day's worth of roller coasters, rides, and African wildlife, located in the middle of Tampa.
- Lowry Park Zoo - A great zoo housing animals from all over the world. Another nice full-day excursion.

Museums
- Dali MuseumDT - World-famous architecture surrounded by Salvador Dali's permanent collection. A great gift shop too!
MFA (Museum of Fine Arts) DT - Our wedding location. But if you want to check out the gallery without all of the distraction, it's a great way to spend an afternoon.
Chihuly MuseumDT - Famous glass artist, Dale Chihuly’s permanent collection. There is also a Hot Shop located on Central Avenue, to see glass blowing done in person.

Beaches
St. Pete Beach
- John's Pass Shops - In Madiera Beach, a nice waterside shopping center with restaurants and touristy shops. Also a great place to do a dolphin tour, and rent boats or jet-skis.
Clearwater (Frenchies!)

Fort Desoto Park
Egmont Key
